Alpha Male - This male is the head of the pack. His mate is the Alpha Female. He may still hunt. He is responsible for all decisions made.
Alpha Female - This female is equal to the Alpha male, who is her mate. She may still hunt, and has a large part in the decisions made.
Beta Male - The Male that is second in command. Still hunts, and is lower in rank than the Alphas.
Beta Female - The female that is second in command. Still hunts, and is lower in rank than the Alphas.
Elders - Wolves can automatically "retire" at the age of 7 years and become an elder. They are no longer expected to hunt, and will receive a portion of each meal. In return for the free food, they are expected to relay the history of wolf-kind to pups, to help educate them.
Guardians - Sahoni Clan only. These wolves are specially trained in stealth and fighting techniques to patrol borders, and are always ready for a battle.
Hunters - These are the Hunters of the pack. They go out often to hunt prey; they may eat after a kill, and bring the rest to the pack.
Fledglings - These are young wolves between 1 and 2 years of age; They follow the Hunters and learn how to hunt, and are also taught how to fight and defend the pack.
Pups - These are pups under the age of 12 months; They often stay in the Center, and don't leave there mothers for long periods of time, especially before the age of 4 months, when they are still suckling. Any pups that are not from the Alphas are not guaranteed a place in the pack, and may be forced to leave after turning a year old. Thus, they must work extra hard to prove their place in the pack if they plan to stay.
Omega - This is the lowest rank in the pack. This wolf is often a newcomer, and thus must prove him or herself to the pack. They are not treated great, and must go through great trouble to prove their loyalty.
