The Basics...
Photos by Furlined @ Flickr
Name: Enyzi
Age: 4 years
Gender: Male
Clan: Sahoni
Rank: Alpha
Appearance: Enyzi's fur is relatively earthen-toned. The most visible, although actually not the most present, colour is a grey sable type, covering his back and chest, along with some markings around his face. The most common colour is a reddish-brown, while a creamy tan marks his undersides. His fur is relatively soft in texture, not very coarse, but it does tend to be of a strange texture after she gets soaked through some way, and then takes a few days to soften up again. It's of a natural length, ranging from one to about ten centimetres throughout his body. It's neither thick nor thin in the summer, but a medium plush coat. In the winter, it thickens up, offering a nice protection against the chill.
Dark amber eyes peer out of the grey mask that lines his face, intelligence sometimes visible, sometimes veiled. Never do they reveal intent, and only rarely feelings, to be honest. Below the eyes sits a charcoal grey nose, the same colour as his paw pads
Build-wise, Enyzi leans towards what some might consider 'lithe', although his muscles are apparent, and his wiry strength and intelligence can more than make up for the difference in a fight.
On the Inside...
Personality: * Logical - So what is going on behind that handsome mask? Well, a sharp, logical mind, for the most part. One who can look at a situation and analyze possible responses quickly, and decide on a course of action without much waffling or waiting on others to make the decision. And, even if others do make the decision, there's never any telling if Enyzi agrees. His logic almost always revolves around what's best for himself or his pack, with others coming in a distinct second place.
* Detached - He learned neutrality from a young age, and has twisted that to a strange sense of detachment to anyone that isn't a part of his family. That doesn't mean that he's vicious, or that he needlessly squanders others' lives, but... They don't count as much to him. If their death can advance his cause, or protect his pack, his family, then there's really nothing to be said about it.
* Manipulative - However, there's no way to get some help without some manipulation of some sort or another. Enyzi's chosen method is through talking, obscuring the facts that won't bring him any farther and highlighting those that align with others' goals. Most of the time, if he gets the right measure of his chosen puppet, it's a small matter of getting them to agree with him, and then by the time that they figure out that they weren't in on the whole plan, or even the actual objective, it might be too late for them, and Enyzi's goals have advanced.
* Poker Face - Enyzi hides his intentions and plans behind a mask. It's scarily easy to misread his emotions and goals, and if one were to assess him, he's perfectly happy with his lot in life, even though that's not always the case. He does what he needs to survive, and if that means convincing others that he has no motivation to break the truce, then so be it... Until he can move safely, but they'll never see it coming.
* Hubris - One of the biggest flaws in Enyzi's personality is his own mind, that same logical thing that helps him in so many situations. While he knows that he's intelligent, it's easy for him to forget that others might be just as smart, and might even be smarter. Considering his complex, she is at danger of being manipulated himself by these smarter beings, although they may be far and few in between.
Likes: Being on his own, puppets, his pack
Dislikes: Stupid questions (redundant, non-logical, etc.), anyone trying to get too close to him, his plans being foiled
Fears: Death (for one so callous about it in others, he knows that he is mortal), fire.
Digging Deeper...
History: Enyzi was born into the Sahoni Clan, along with his two siblings. His family had only had one previous litter, of which both had died while in training for Guardianship. His father, Amur, was the beta of the Sahoni pack, and able to provide for his family rather well.
To him, his life was nothing stellar. He was chosen for Guardianship, along with his closest friend, his brother. They went through everything together, and should you ask Enyzi, they were equals. Ask his trainers, however, and they would have told you about the slender differences, the moments that Enyzi grasped things before his brother, the many times the wolf proved himself. His brother knew of this before Enyzi did, and before long, the two started growing apart, little things at first, but finally the brother chose to leave, rather than being overshadowed by Enyzi.
Guardianship was hard for Enyzi to begin, but he eventually began figuring out the pack's view of him. He was chosen to replace his father as Beta when the male chose to retire, and when the previous alpha passed, he was a natural choice for Alpha. Now he has been in this position for about a year, and is starting to feel secure enough in his role to consider the possibility of looking at expansions.
Other: Nope!
